New Site

We're making a change to the way that we release work for our classes. The main lessons (the things that we'll do in class each day) will now be found at the site "Optimal Beneficial Moreover Detrimental: Classroom." We're keeping this site, with a slightly different name, in order to release a reading a day for students to practice their reading at home. Each post will contain a link to a reading, along with a list of assignments that can be completed for that reading.

RI2./RHST2. Mathematics-Language Arts Interdisciplinary Reading

So . . .
EuclidB1T1As you have probably noticed, we're trying hard to incorporate reading and writing exercises into all of our classes. Well, we've always done that, but we are trying to communicate and use technology to make those reading and writing experiences more rewarding and useful to the students.
Click here to get to the reading about the benefits of studying math.

The mathematics department found this reading that they thought every student of mathematics should be exposed to, and Mrs. Kukuruda and I agreed to run it together and reward you twice for one assignment. It's about the value of math, so she can count it as a grade for her, and you'll use your Language Arts skills to produce the work, so I can count it, too. However, as always, doubling the rewards and halving the work means doubling the penalties if you don't do it.

If you need the Chain of Main Ideas EXPERT check for Language Arts, write a chain of main ideas summary.
If you have your expert level already, write a WHO+WHAT+WHAT central idea statement.

Do your work in Google Drive if your teacher uses it, if not, ask the teacher where you should work.
